Soma WPP is Turkey’s largest wind power plant with 181 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 288.1 MW.

Turkey’s Fifth Largest Wind Power Plant: Geycek WPP

Geycek WPP is the fifth largest wind power plant of Turkey with 70 wind turbines and an installed capacity of 168 MW.

'Children Enlightened by Wind'

Our teams developed a social responsibility project for 48 MW Soma-4 WPP extension project, in order to inform the local community about renewable energy. We welcomed 17 primary school students from a local primary school, Hamidiye Primary School, to Soma wind farm.

Green Light for the Future

We launched “Green Light for the Future” Project in October 2019 in order to increase efficiency in the use of interoffice resources and raise awareness among our employees for creating a culture of sustainability.

Capacity Increase at Göktepe Wind Power Plant

On October 6th, Friday, the acceptance of 2 turbines by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources took place at Göktepe RES, and they were put into operation. With this acceptance, the installed capacity of Göktepe RES has increased from 112.7 MWm/110 MWe to 121.1 MWm/118.4 MWe.

Turkey was represented by Soma WPP at 'The Climate Reality Project'.

"24 Hours of Reality" project, which was organized to support the Paris Agreement, addressed the climate change problems of 24 different countries through a 24-hour-long broadcast.
